Recently stayed at the Spindrift. Had reserved for the Inn, but there were four people in our party. Requested a cottage. One was available- we were more then impressed- one of the better cottages we have stayed in anywhere- all hardwood etc. Even a washer and dryer in the unit. Danny and Marg are great ambassadors for the Loop. The food and atmosphere at the restaurant are topnotch. We would recommend The Spindrift and/or the Banting Cottages to those looking for a getaway for a couple of days or as base for touring the central part of the island.

We stayed at Spindrift one weekend ago and it was just great. We felt so at home and the dining room food and service was excellent. It is a beautiful place to stay and we would recommend it to anyone.

Well where to start!
Being from Musgrave Harbour and moving away from home we knew that the most fitting place to have our marriage was in the beautiful town of Musgrave Harbour!
Along with that, this great hotel Spindrift by-the-Sea was the place where we wanted our families to gather to celebrate the start of our lives together.
The staff was GREAT!! they prepared all the food and got everything ready for us, from taking care of all the guests staying at the hotel to just providing that smile that we all sometimes needed!
This is a quote from some of the Ontario guests that traveled to the wedding, "The food was spectacular, especially the fish, it's the BEST that they had ever eaten."
From the both of us we would like to say thanks to all the great people at the hotel who helped with our big day!
If anyone is looking for a great town to vist it is certainly Musgrave Harbour and the place to stay is the Spindrift. They take care of you as if you were family with the great down home hospitality and charm :)

Thanks

Mark & Teri-Lynn

We love going to the Spindrift. The view from the dining room is spectacular as we enjoy a homemade meal. The fish and chips are a must. We have celebrated many family occasions at the Spindrift - 50th anniversary celebration, birthdays, family dinners etc. The service is always friendly and the meals are delicious. We've even had take-out carrot cake to enjoy on the beach. We also like to stroll around the gardens to see what new plants Dan has added. Thanks to everyone for making the Spindrift such a wonderful place to visit.

Myself, and two friends from Ottawa, had a marvellous overnight at Spindrift. The rooms were large, clean, and refreshing from the brilliant sea air. Falling asleep to the waves lapping the beach was wonderful.
The dining room was well situated with a view over the ocean. The food was excellent.... we highly recommend the 'crab cakes'...mmmm...thick, fresh, and succulent. Danny is a great host, and the staff are kind, outgoing, and helpful. A truly wonderful place to stay on the NorthEast Coast.

This is a great place to eat. The food is simply delicious and all homemade!! My favorite is Marg's Apple pie and the homemade rolls.
